The mainstay of Costa Rica`s export and investment promotion strategy. It is a set of differentiated tax incentives granted by the government to promote the direct foreign investment.

Differentiated Incentives: By investing outside the GMA benefits are more competitive; 12 years of 100% Income Tax Exoneration and 6 additional years 50% income tax Exoneration. (renewal periods may be granted if a significant reinvestment is made)
